bought a Vauxhall Nova to start competing on single venue events.
Jayne then progressed to the well know “Greenpug” the Peugeot 106
Rallye with a 1.3 engine. Jayne and Dave competed on tarmac events
which included airfields and army camps just to get used to the
car, after a few class wins they deceided to venture out and compete

seat as Claire had other financial commitments.
When Jayne began losing the podium positions to the more modern
technology they decided to hire a MG ZR, 1400 engine for the last
round of the championship in 2006, the MG was also used to promote
the “Gravel Girls” calendar to raise money for the Welsh Air Ambulance,
£12,000 was raised in total, this went towards a new helicoper
to assist them in rescues. Jayne gained a third in class on this
rally and went on to win the 2006 BTRDA Ladies Championship.
So Dave and Jayne bought the ex Fiona Leggett enduro specification
car to start the 2007 season. Unfortunately due to changes to
the championship in 2007 Jayne and Dave
ended up picking and choosing selected events to go and compete.
